The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine considered conclusions and proposals of the subject report of the Ombudsperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Pursuant to the Resolution, the speech of the ombudsperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine shall be published in "Holos Ukrainy" periodical.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, ministries, other state power bodies and local authorities shall take measures to protect children rights in line with the international standards, namely, UN Convention on children rights.
The report present thorough analysis of the implementation of the UN Convention on Children Rights ratified in 1991. Namely, it presents results of the monitoring over the observance of children rights by the power bodies, their officials and other personnel.
Further to the report, the Ombudsperson drew up recommendations regarding action to be taken by the local self-government bodies to protect children rights in Ukraine in line with the international standards.
